stopped because the income cards they sent in were incomplete or incorrect. The 1550 persons of the first group face not only the loss of their monthly pensions, but for some of them, the repayment of all pension money received during 1963. A law provides that when a pensioner refuses to return *his questionnaire, the VA will declare an overpayment for the preceding year and will institute action to recover that entire year’s {tension. Prompt action by those who have not returned their income cards is required if the pensioner expects to avoid paying back all of last year’s pension, and if still eligible, to get back on the pension list. Although the deadline was January 31, 1964, the VA will still accept late questionnaires and release the pension or make necessary adjustments. The VA is going to help these delinquents on March 13 by sending out a second income card. Edward M. Mathews, of the Front Royal Office of the Division of War Veterans’ Claims, is in Washington at the Clerk’s Office on 1st and 3rd Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and will gladly give more details on this subject or any other matter Connected with veteran’s affairs.
