Funeral services forHarvey McPherson Janney, 66, of Fredericksburg were held at the Methodist Church thereon Wednesday, February 26, with the Rev. William Hough officiating. Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Janney died Sunday, February 23, 1964 in Mary Washington Hospital. He was born1 in Occoquan, a son of Mr.and Mrs. James Tyson Janney. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Helen Burke Janney, two sons, Douglas G. and Harvey Jr. and a daughter, Mrs. Betty Janney Poole of Fredericksburg; three brothers, J. Douglas and John R. of Fredericksburg and Joseph T. of Stafford County; a sister, Mrs. Rebecca J. Trayer of Lansing, Ohio; andfive grand* children. u He owned Horseshoe Farm near Washington, Va. for many years, having only recently sold it, and spent the summers there.
Job's Daughters Chapter
Planned In Culpeper
Plans are being made for the chartering of a Bethel of Job’s Daughters in Culpeper. Any girl between the ages of 12 and 18 with the proper Masonic affiliation is eligible for membership.
A meeting will be held Sunday afterrloon, March 8th at 2:30 in the Masonic Temple in Culpeper, to answer questions either the girls or their parents may have concerning the organization. Rappahannock citizens are cordially invited to attend.
