Assistant County Agent, Mr. Arils Frymyer was counselor for the group. Officers were elected as follows: President, Wayne Sutphin; Vice President, Mary Wood; Secretary & Treasurer, Eleanor Rector; and Reporter, Susan Dodson. We have permission to build a show ring on Judge R. V. Snead’s property across the street from the Washington Elementary School. Any person between the ages of 10 and 20, owning or having use of a horse or pony is welcome to join our club. Our riding instructors will be Mrs. John R. Debergh and Mrs. Oscar Lindgren, both of Washington, Virginia. We wish to thank Mrs. Miller for the refreshments and for havlngus as her guest. .. . Our next meeting win be heltf March 25, 1964. Trooper In Distress
Trooper Bunce Pierce was traveling through Maryland en route to Virginia in his own automobile. His car broke down and he sought assistance at a private home where he was graciously received and aided. This was after he discovered that he had once issued a summons to the home owner.
