The educational level of women in Virginia increased about 1V4 grades between 195060. Twenty-nine percent have only a seventh grade education or less, 56 percent have some high school education,-14 percent some college, education, and 1 percent some graduate work.
The 1960 census shows that Virginia women 14 years of age and over had completed 10.5 years of school.
