Receives Citation from Postmasters Association

At the annual convention of the National Association of Postmasters held August 23 -27 in New York Mrs. Barbara S. Gentry, Postmaster at Flint Hill was honored byu receiving the following citation “ The National Assoc iationofPostmasters of the United States proudly awards Honorable Mention to Barbara S. Gentry, Editor, The Virginia Postmaster, for her publication's outstanding journalistic qualities and for its contributions to the understanding of the postal program among postmasters in her state. Presented by Air Mail Committee, Air Transport Association of America, signed by John F. Murphy, Chairman, Air Mail Committee and D. R. Tienithick, President of N. A. P. U. S., 1964.”

The Virginia Postmaster, official publication of the Virginia Chapter of the National Association to Postmasters, reaches about 1300 postmasterg, and postal officials five times a year and is printed at Strasburg.

This certificate presented to Mrs. Gentry was one of 12 presented out of 50 publications at a dinner at the Waldorf Astoria, Wednesday, August 26 honoring state presidents, secretaries and editors.
