Sponsor Oral Polio
Vaccine Clinic
Front Royal Jaycees will sponsor three Sabin on Sunday clinics for the administration of Sabin oral polio vaccine to residents of Warren County and neighboring communities. Rappahannock people are invited to take advantage of the clinics, the first of which will be held Sunday, September 13 from 12 noon until 6 p.m. Location of the clinics will be the E. Wilson Morrison Elementary School, John S. Mosby Academy and Bentonville Elementary School. The medical staff of Warren Memorial Hospital and the Front Royal Jaycees are working together on this project. Everyone over two months old should take all three types of the vaccine. If you have not already taken the oral vaccine visit a clinic location and stop polio Sunday.
Turkey, Ham Supper
Set at Chester Gap
There will be a turkey and ham supper at the Chester Gap Fire Hall Saturday night, September 12 starting at 5 o’clock, benefit of the Fire Department. Everyone is invited to attend.
Rummage Sale
Are you storing things which you will never use? If so, please bring them to us. It might be that your neighbor can use them. Please visit us too, at the post office building in Washington. It is possible that you will find something you will want to purchase and in so doing help your fire company and rescue squad. We are open from 9 a. m. until 5 p. jn. each Friday and Saturday in September. Mrs. Edward Clark will be glad to pick up any articles you wish to contribute to the sale on Saturdays. Just let us know.

beginning stressed historic interests and is empowered to collect data on Rappahannock history it seems proper for the library to assist and sponsor such a society. It was unanimously agreed that steps should be taken in this direction. More will be forthcoming in the months ahead on this phase of the program. It was the feeling of the board that the library in its first year of operation has accompl ished much. Over 3,000 books have been donated by many friends locally and from a distance.
