"Mrs. Bessie “May Smoot of Front Royal, wife of Ernest E. Smoot, died of injuries received in an automobile accident on Route 50 in Loudoun County, Saturday, September 5, 1964. She was 32. Mrs. Smoot was born in Sperryville, a daughter of Otis Nicholson and the late Lizzie Corbin Nicholson. In addition to her father and husband she is survived by three daughter^ Bonnie, Hilda and Debbie and three sons, Allen, Bobby and Rocky, all of Front Royal. Also two brothers Otis Nicholson and William Nicholson of Flint Hill; and seven sisters, Mrs. Rhoda Printz, Miss Florine Nicholson of Front Royal; Miss Thelma Nicholson of Mar tinsburg, W. Va., Mrs. Emma Frazier of Bentonville, Mrs. Dorothy Lily of Flint Hill, Mrs. Catherine Dodson, address unknown and Miss Barbara Nicholson of Chantilly.
A funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon at two o’clock in the chapel of Maddox Funeral Home, conducted by Capt. John Tracy of the Salvation Army with interment in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
