Rev. Richard G. Pullen
The Rev. Richard Garland Pullen, 60, pastor of Crenshaw Methodist Church in Blackstone died Saturday, December 12, 1964. Mr. Pullen entered the Metho dist ministry in 1933 after attending the college of William and Mary, Randolph Macon College and the University of Virginia. A member of the Virginia Methodist Conference for thirty years, he had served on various committees, andwaba member of the board of directors of Hermitage Home for the Aged at Richmond. He was a former president of the board of directors of the Virginia Methodist Advocate. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Julia Garrett Pullen* a daughter, Miss Frances Amanda Pullen of Blackstone; two sis ters, Mrs. Fannie P. Eastham of Flint Hill and Mrs. Mary P. Eastham of Arlington; three brothers, Jesse Powers Pullen of Danville; Thomas Granville and William Edward Pullen, both of Baltimore and Flint Hill. A funeral service was held Monday at 10 a.m. at Crenshaw Methodist Church with burial at the Flint^ill Methodist Church cemetery.
