New officers were elected to head the Rappahannock Unit of the American Cancer Society at a meeting held Wednesday evening, August 25 at the courthouse, Washington. Named to the presidency was Mrs. Francis Leonard of Amissville, who will receive the gavel from outgoing presf dent, Mrs. Charles K. Estes when officers are installed at a meeting scheduled for Sept. 28.
Acting as first vice president will be Mrs. D. Lyle Miller, Jr., Washington and second vice president is Mrs. N. K. G. Tholand, Sperryvill^' Mrs. H. B. Wood, Jr., Wood ville will be secretary and Mrs. W. L. Payne, Amiss[ville. treasurer.
