Jacobsen were guests Tuesday of Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Keyser. Mrs. Jacobsen remained for a visit with her brother-in-law and sister oefore returning to her home in Tampa, Florida. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Palmer at Scuffle Hill were Mrs. Palmer’s nephew Jack Murphy and Dick Carter of Chicago. Miss Peggy Palmer has left to take up her teaching position in the Carter Glass High School in Lynchburg. Mrs. H. J. Racer has return ed home after being a patient in the University of Virginia Hospital for several weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Alhe rt Slaughter and Warren Metcalf of Leesburg were Sunday visitors of Mr, and Mrs. A. H. Keyser at The Oaks. Mrs. James M. Settle was a Sunday dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs. W. Arthur Miller. Mr. and M rs. Ouenton McCoy and son are visiting at the home of Mrs. McCuy’s mother Mrs. F. D. Wood. Mr. and Mrs. McCoy have recently completed the summer session at Radford College. Miss F ranees Wood left Sunday for her school in Staunton. Bud Smoot, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clabet't Smoot, reported to Fort Dix N. J. this weekend after spending a furlough with his parents.
