Virginia Sept. 19-25

The State Highway Commission invited Virginians Thursday to join in the obsep vance of National Highway week Sept. 19-25. In a resolution, the Commis sion said that “good highways save lives, time and money, and are essential to Virginia s .continue^ economic growth.” The Commission noted the State’s progress in developing the interstate and arterial networks, and invited citizens "to reflect on the value of good roads in their daily lives.
