In most communities across the country, the new school term is just about to begin. Close to 17 million young people should be returning to high school. Unhappily, thousands of them won’t. President Johnson has called attention to this fact with his estimate that during the coming school year, the Nation will again see more than 750GOO boys and girls drop out of school before receiving a high school diploma. That figure will begin ac cumulating wirh the youngsters who will not even return to school for the term starting | now.
