Veterans News

The Veterans Administration has advised that regular annual dividends on U. S. Government Life Insurance and National Service Life Insurance policies for the year 1966 will not be paid in advance, as has been the case for the past four years. Instead, dividends will be paid in the policy anniversary date as was the custom until 1961 when the President authorized payments on an accelerated iasis as an anti-recession measure.

The VA advises that in 1966 about $209 million will be paid to some 4.5 million holders of National Service Life Insurance participating policies, averaging about $47. About $15.2 million will be paid to approximately 200,000
