Fourty-one thousand Virginia Federal income taxpayers have delayed their refund by mailing their return to Virginia Internal Revenue Service Offices rather than the Service Center, James P. Boyle, District Director said today.
All Federal refund returns should be mailed dijr^ptly to Internal RevferiiW Service Cerf ter, Philadelphia, Pa. 19154. A pre-addressed envelope to the Service Center was enclosed in each forms package; Additional envelopes may be obtained at any Internal Revenue Service Office. Direct mailing of refund re turns to Internal Revenue Service Center, Philadelphia, Pa. 19154 will avoid duplicate handling in District offices, extra mailing time and expedite re ceipt of refund checks by taxpayers.
