John G. Carney of Woodville has, been appointed general manager of Skyline Ski Area, according to an announcement made Tuesday by the ski area president, Dr. Roswell Bower sett. Plans are underway to develop the Skyline Area into a year round recreational resort at the completion of the skiing season which has been good. In spite of fluctuating temperatures, it has been possible to make a considerable amount of artificial snow. There have been few skiing accidents. During the skiing season next year, a day each week is planned for Rajipahannock peo pie, to generate local interest and enthusiasm, though already many local people have taken to the slopes. A new feature this week-end will be a hot and cold buffet, Sunday afternoon, to be served from 1-5 p.m. Dinner will be served from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.
