JC Beauty Pageant
The second annual Rappahannock Jaycees Beauty Pageant Is scheduled for Friday, April 7 at 8 p.m. in Rappahannock County High School. Girls between the ages of 4 and 20 are eligible to compete in the contest, and group divisions are as follows: first class is 4 years through 7 years; seo ond group is 8 years through 12 years; third division is 13 years through 16 years and the last group is 17 years through 20 years of age. Each contestant must be spon sore<fr by a business firrn^ or individual and the fee is $1 per entry. The number of en tries is not limited. Prizes will be .awarded in each age group. The first three classes will wear street length dresses. The 17-2Q,age group will be required to wear evening gowns only. Prizes will be given to the first and second runners-up in this group and a cash prize of $100 will be awarded the winner. In addition a scholarship of $100 will be given the young lady, if and when she is accepted at a college or school of her choice. Red Shipley of Big “K" radio station Warrenton, will be mas ter of ceremonies for the pageant and T. J. Pillar of Sperryville will provide background and intermission music on the piano. Tickets are now on advance sale for the pageant. Reserved seats are $2; general admission $1 and children 50 cents. Theyf/nay be purchased from any Jaycee or at the Corner Store in Sperryville.
