There were 22 certificates given out for completion of the Standard First Aid Course which finished Wednesday, March 1. The course was taught at the Fire Hall by John Scott and Pat Ferrell of Front Royal, using the First A id book compiled by the American Red Cross. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Williams visited Mrs. *Pet" Smith last Wednesday in the home of her son Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Smith on the Strasburg Road. Mr. and Mrs. Hubie Gilkey, Bert, Kim and Kelly visited Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bowers in Front Royal Sunday afternoon. PFC Floyd Lilly who has been undergoing a series of operations in Walter Reed Hospital following injuries received in Viet Nam is spending a 21-day leave with his wife Betty Jean in the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Albert Williams. Mrs. Cuffie Deavers and granddaughter Ann Deavers of Browntown were Saturday afternoon visitors in this community.
