Randolph Rouse was winner of the feature race, the Ben Venue, at Saturday's Rappahannock Hunt Polnt-to-Point at Thornton Hill Farm, Sperryvllle. This Is his second win of the season to accumulate points for the Seven Corners bowl given the best ownerrider combination at the close of the 1967 PoInt-to-PoInt Circuit.
Twin Peaks had run a steady third throughout the race, until just after clearing the final jump, when Rouse spurred him on to win by several lengths. Most of the race saw August Moon, owned by Mr. David Semmes of Potomac Hunt and , Archibald’s Kingsley’s Naval i Treaty battling It out until , Rouse made his rnove to the i front. _ 1 The Mount Salem race, for ladies, was won by Miss Ready Snodgrass on Pirate, owned by Thomas Beach of the Casa nova Hunt. She was declared winner after Lenoso, owned by Mr. Archibald Kingsley of the Middleburg Hunt, was die qualified for cutting a flag. Lenoso had led the field all the way. Winner of the Mount Marshall was taken by Third Eclipse, owned by Mrs. T. A. Randolph, and ridden by Rodney Jenkins. In second place was Dark Splendor, owned and ridden by Mr. Archi bald Kingsley.
