Clothing and Knitting
Classes Scheduled
The first of several basic clothing construction classes and a basic knitting class will be held beginning Thursday, March 23, at 7:00 p.m. at the Washington Graded SchoolThese courses, which are offered free, will be instruct ed by Miss Diane Brown, Extension Agent, Home Economics, and Mrs. Mary Cleverley. Meetings will be held once a week for six weeks. Anyone interested is invited to enroll in the classes. Due to limited space and equipment, however only ten ladies can take the clothing class at this time. Therefore, if you are interest ed, please contact the extension office (675-3619) andreg ister before March 21.
Birthday Party
William Douglas Shaw, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Shaw of Washington, celebrated his first birthday February 28. Guests for his birthday party included Mrs. Robert Fincham, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Shaw, Mr. andMrs.N. A. Shav^ Sr., Mr. and Mrs. N. A. Shaw, jr. and daughter Kimberly, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Fincham and daughters Robin and Nancy, all of Culpeper.
Slumber Party
Susan Latham entertained with a slumber party Friday night at the home of her mother Mrs. Sarah Latham, Amissville. Her guests were Cheryl Poling, Betsy William^ Melody Green, Nancy Cargill and Jeanne St. Clair.
