ANOTHER LOAD OF “GREEN qOED” A truckload of 250,000 pine seedlings arrives in Charlottesville for distribution to landowners in the northern Piedmont counties. These seedlngs are grown by the Virginia Division of Forestry and sold at cost for reforestation purposes. Of the 4Va million seedlings allotted to the Northern Piedmont District, 3'4 million have j already been sold and many have been planted during the ' warmer periods of the winter. With spring coming on ,it’s expected that the rest of the allotment will find its way into the public’s hands before the planting season ends in late April.
