A spectacular sporting event is scheduled for Saturday, March 11 at the Rappahannock County High School gym when two teams of lovely ladies will meet on the hardwood. Participating in the basketball game will be a team of RCHS girls and an alumni ladies team. Game time is 8 p.m. Among the alumni are Mrs. Pat Biggs (Ginger Russell); Mrs. Emory Russell (Gaynell Putnam); Mrs. T. V. Williams (Mary Hudson); Mrs. Jimmy Wayland (Margaret Ann Deavers); Mrs. Frank Coffey (Helen Nethers); Mrs. Juliar Brown (Janice Dodson); Mrs, (Rena Pullen); Miss Jean Ollard and Miss Shirley Brown Coaching this group will tx Mrs. Thelma Dennis Russell
Mrs. Louise Marshall, girlt athletic director at the higf school, will coach the school team which is composed of Carter Moffett, Geraldine Baldwin, Gloria Myers, Jeanne Smoot, Frances Tharp, Charlotte Foster, Sandra Foster, Eunice Butler, Sandra Payne, Peggy Andes, Beth O' Ban non, Gloria Dodson and Wanda Roy. Julian Brown and Jonas Jenkins will be the referees for the coy cagers. Admission is 50(5 per person for everyone except preschool children who are admitted without charge. Proceeds go to the general school fund. Refreshments including home made cake, candy, cup cakes, drinks, etc. will be or sale by the school cheerleaders.
