Dump Problems
Still Face Board
A limited agenda faced the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors Friday when they convened for the October meeting. A point of major concern was the acquisition of a road right of way to the proposed dump near Sperryville. Resident Engineer James S. Skeens was requested to pursue a condemnation suit to secure the required land for the road right of way. The public dump will be located on the property of Howard Butler in Majors Hollow, and the right of way needed is on Fitzhugh property. Del. Tom Frost appeared before the Board to inform the Supervisor that the General Assembly would convene in January and if they had any problems or opinion he would gladly present them. Two sheep claims presented were tabled unyl further testimony could be heard on them. A fowl claim was approved for payment.
