Group Activities

The Sue Slaughter Group will meet at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church, Spcrryville on Thursday night, October 12 at 7:30 p. m. Mrs. Mary Gould, a missionary to Thailand will be guest speaker. The Sue Sla ughter Ornup will hold a study course on foreign missions at the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church near Woodville on Thursday, Oct. 19 beginning at 7 p. m. There will be classes for Junior, Intermediate, G. A., Y. W.A. jand W. M. U. groups. Anyone (interested in missions is in[ vited to attend.

Crashes on Sunday

A single-car crash early Sunday morning just west of Washington, Va. resulted in a reckless driving charge for Bolling Lynn Baltimore of Warrenton. According to Trooper W. A. Buntin, Baltimore ran off the left of the highway Into a ditch near the Bailey residence. He was operating a 64 Chevrolet to which damage was estimated at $250. There was no personal injury. A two-vehicle collision occured on Route 622 in Gid Brown Hollow Sunday night, and was investigated by Troop er P. P. Dicks. A 62 Chevrolet operated by John William Kendall, 20, of Washington, Va. and a 64 Ford operated by Wilber Fletcher, 56, also of Washington, sideswiped when they met on the crest of a hill. Damage was minor-2nd there were no injuries.

However, Fletcher was charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident and with failing to drive to the right of the center of the road.
