Adult Ed Classes

Individuals in this area 18 years or older, who for one reason or another have not attained at least an eighth grade education will have the opportunity to do so. Adult education classes are scheduled to begin this month at Rappahannock County High School. The classes will be held at night and will meet twice weekly for approximately two and a half hours. Dates will be announced in the near future. The course will be free to students. The cost of all materials and instruction is being borne by the local and state ; governments under the Economic Opportunity Act. The j program will provide a founjdation with which the more 'ambitious student could continue with moreadvanced work If you know anyone who needs this program, encourage him or her to fill out an application card or call Warren County High School, Front Royal 635-4144 and the applicant will be contacted.
Arts & Crafts Exhibit

The Arts & Crafts group of Rappahannock will have an exhibit and sale on Saturday and Sunday, October 21 and 22. The exhibit will be held on the lot adjacent to the Washington House of Antiques at the blinker light in theTown of Washington. The exhibit and sale had been held in previous years at the Rappahannock Library. Any individual or organization desiring to exhibit and sell articles may reserve a booth by contacting Mrs. J. F. Biddle, Sperryville, phone 987-8176 or a member of the Arts and Crafts group who lives near you. Each individual or group is responsible for the entire handling of its articles, and the cleaning up of the premises after the sale.
