The Rappahannock Rescue Squad took Reuben Smoot from him home in Harris Hollow to the Warren Memorial Hospital and then to Winchester Memorial Hospital on Friday night. Sunday it was called to Flat Woods but transportation was not necessary. Monday Mrs. Thomas Rees was taken to Culpeper Memorial Hospital and Monday night Mrs Henry “B* Jenkins was taken from her home near Sperryville to the Culpeper hospital. Washington Fire Company and the Sperryville Fire Company answered a call Saturday night to a chimney fire at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Steve DeMent in Sperryville. Flint Hill Rescue Squad took Fannie Starks to the Front Royal Hospital on Friday and on Saturday an unidentified patient was taken to Warren Memorial Hospital.
