Colonists Meet Here
The District of Columbia Society, Daughters of the American Colonists held its fall meeting at Avon Hall, home of Mr. and Mrs. William Carrigan at Washington, Va. on Monday, October 9. Cohostesses with Mrs. Carrigan were Miss Caroline V. Sudler, Honorary National Vice President, Mrs. Emory Ozabal and Mrs. Tiesor B. Gill. The luncheon meeting was attended by thirty-two members
Also in attendance was Mrs. Carl Walker McMurray, Pre& ident of the National Society, Daughters of the A merica n Colonists. Mrs. McMurray resides in Marion, N. C. She lias just returned from an extensive trip to the west coast where she visited many states and discussed the work of the Society with members in that a rea. Presiding at the business m#tinf^pio#j4ng^ luncheon w.a6 State President of the Society, Mrs. Irvine Miller. Plans were discussed fora reception to be given in honor of the National President on Tuesday, October 17 at National Headquarters in Washington, I). C.

Mrs. Lillian Fox and son Mien visited Mrs. Delmar I-ox and family on the Strasburg Road on Thursday. Mrs. Sam North returned to her home la st Wednesday from Warren Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for a week for treatment. Mrs. Lillian Fox and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wines were Friday visitors in Berryville. Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Williams were Mr. and Mrs. Archie Bailey and family of Falls Church and Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Williams and family of Front Royal. Mrs. Stanley Williams returned to her home last Monday after 22 days in Warren
