Rescue Squad Drive
The Rappahannock Rescue Squad begins its fall fund drive this week and contributions will be appreciated. There will not be a house to house canvass at this time, but donations may be sent to Mrs. B. R. Armel, Washington, Va. The squad travels many miles on numerous calls and opera* ing expenses must be met. The squad is on call 365 days and nights a year, so for the next 20 days heed their call for support.
Parent - Teacher
Conference at W.E.S.
In place of the regular October meeting of the Washington Elementary School P.T.A. there will be a Parent-Teachers Conference from 6:30 until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17 at the school. This will afford parents an opportunity to talk to the teachers on pupils progress and other related subjects. Refreshments will be served during the evening.
