Complaints have been made in regard to the shooting of guns and firearms in the Town of Washington. This is in direct violation of Ordinances prohibiting such shooting. If the violations continue steps must be taken to protect the individual rights of citizens.

A community Thanksgiving service will be held Wednesday night November 22 at the Amissville Baptist Church. The speaker will be the Rev. William A. Layman, pastor of the Amissville Methodist Church. An invitation is extended everyone to worship. A communion service will follow the message.

The hunting season is upon us. Several hard frosts and a particularly cool November have served to put the hunter in the excited frame of mind that precedes hunting season. This Monday, the 20th, will bring fulfillment to many who are picturing a big buck in the sights of their guns or the rush of wings as a covey of quail thunder out from under foot.
