Widow’s Benefits
A new pension allowance has been established for widows receiving pension under all laws, who meet the requirements for entitlement to aid and attendance. The new benefit is $50 monthly, in addition to the widow's basic rate of death pension. Her need for aid and attendance will be based on the same criteria that applies for determining a veteran’s entitlement. Determinations will for the most part be made or. the basis of medical evidence furnished by the widow.
