“Medical insurance can pay up to $4 out of every $5 of doctor bills after the first $50 of medical expenses each year and many people 65 years of age or older are finding this beneficial to them* according to Mrs. Hazel F.Daly District Manager of the Winchester Social Security Office. “We have first hand information on several cases in this area in which persons enrolled in the complete Medicare program have had extensive medical care and surgery yet the cost to them has not been significant.”

Medicare became law in 1965 and people then 65 or over, had until July 1, 1966 to enroll;

in the medical insurance pro-j gram. Those persons not 65 by July 1, 1966 are to enroll!
