At Piedmont (Carver)
Vocational School
T. N. Broyles, director of Piedmont Vocational School (formerly Carver Regional High), said this week that the adult program is well underway and serving participants from Culpeper, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock Coun ties. Twenty-eight are enrolled in general educational development courses, leading to testing for the high school equivalency certificate. Forty nine adults are enrolled in the basic education program, for those who did not complete eighth grade. One pupil is a lady 77 years old, and there is no cost to this program, 90| percent of funds being Federal| and 10 percent local.
Mr. Broyles added that typing and shorthand classes are now filled, but more can be accepted in the arts and crafts
