Cut Phone Service
Careless hunters cause a great deal of inconvenience to Rappahannock telephone sub scribers annually, according to A. T. Reed, Area Manager for the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company. Pictured is a section of lead telephone cable severely damaged last year by a shotgun blast. Reed pointed out that an incident such as this is not only costly to the telephone company but can result in the loss of telephone service to hundreds of telephone subscribers for hours at a time.
