Truly inspirational was the assembly on patriotism held Friday, November 10. The speeches of guests, Congress man John O. Marsh, Jr., Admiral Josef Gardiner, and Chief Garvin A. Goven gave us all something to ponder. The school chorus provided a superb selection of songs centering around the theme of the assembly. During the assembly a number of flags were presented to the school. The small American flags donated by the Lions’ Club were presented to homeroom representatives by Lions’ Club President David Layman and Congressman Marshandthese flags are now mounted in the homerooms. A Virginia State Flag obtained through the efforts of James W. Fletcher was presented to Mr. Wingfield by Eddie Clark, SC A vice-president. The third presentation was
