Feed Grain Analysis: Curtis Mast, in cooperation with others, in August made analysis of small grains produced from different sections of the state. Barley analyzed was a complete surprise being higher in TDN and lower in crude protein than expected. The average TDN is 77% and crude pro tein 9.1% corrected to88%dry matter. Thus our barley needs about the same protein supplo mentation as corn and we have been in error in assuming it to contain 10% and 11% crude protein! There was little difference
