spent the week-end at their home on Gay Street. Mrs. George H. Davis, Jr. was in Washington, D. C. Friday :o visit her father B. R. Cox who is a patient in the Veteran’s Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. H. Taylor Updike, Jr. and son Brian are expected this week from Oxnard, Calif, to visit Mr. Updike's parents. His next position will be in Arlington. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Parker and two children Franklin and Philip of Culpeper and Mrs. Kathleen Walters of Middletown were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Updike. Miss Carolyn Johnston of R.P.I., Richmond spent the week end with her parents Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Johnston. On Sunday Mrs. Johnston and Miss Johnston visited Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Tanner in Charlottesville.
Bridal Shower Mrs. Bobby Hawkins and Mrs Linda Pullen were co-hostesses Saturday at a surprise Bridal Shower honoring Miss Barbara Lillard at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Pullen in Flint Hill. Miss Lillard will be the June bride of Kenneth Payne of Woodville.
