Mrs. Joseph Powers and daughter Linda were in Harrisonburg on Monday. Linda registered at Madison College for the fall term. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Settle were in Clifton Forge Sunday to visit Mrs. Settle’s brotherin-law Luther Elkins who has been quite ill.
On Sunday Dale Hensley returned to his home in Charleston, W. Va. for a week’s visit with his mother Mrs. Emaline Hensley and his brothers and sisters.
The Rev. and Mrs. Dott Bryan and son Kyle of Novum were Sunday dinner guests of Col. and Mrs. Norman Wilbur and Mrs. Iris Brooke. Sunday evening guests were Mrs. Eddie Johnson and sons Eddie Paul and Mark of Crooked Run. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs Dick Jenkins attended the Jenkins family reunion on the Shackleford Farm at Woodville. Their Sunday evening visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Sisk and family, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Henry Jenkins, of Front Royal and Mrs. Roy Sisk and son David of Woodville. Mr. and Mrs. John Gaines >f Sperryville, Mrs. Mary Gaines and Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Gaines and family of Madison enjoyed a picnic lunch on Sunday at the old Gaines home place at the foot of Mitchell’s Mountain.
