Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Ferry ! of Culpeper celebrated their ,50th Wedding Anniversary Sun day, April 21, 1968 at the home of their son and daughter-in law Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Perry.
They were married April 19, 1918 by the Rev. E. E„ Lamb in the Adial, Va. parsonage. The celebration was given by their five children all of whom were present. They are Clyde Perry of Charlottesville, Lawrence Perry of Culpeper, Mrs. Gardner Mills of Iluntly, Mrs. Frank Jenkins of Fairfax and Mrs. Allie Huff of Washington, Va. Besides the immediate family a number of relatives and a few close friends were also pres ent. The honored couple received many nice cards and gifts. The Perry’s are former rest dents of Rappahannock County.

Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Wood, Sr. were Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Quaintance of Sperryville. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Wayland were Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Brown and Mrs. Beulah Armentrout, all of Front Royal. Mr. and Mrs. Wayland and their guests visited Mrs. George Hawkins in Culpeper in the afternoon. Mrs. John Stallings, Miss Virginia Johnson and Mrs. William Johnson, all of Culpeper, were week-end callers of Miss Nellie Johnson. Mrs. F. B. Dailey has returned to her home in Highland Park after visiting Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Johnson last week. Mr. and Mrs. Emory Conners and Mrs. Weldon Cline were in Portsmouth Sunday to attend Parents Day at Frederick Military Academy to be with their son Larry Conners who is a junior this year. Yager Burke of Clinton, Md. spent Sunday with his parents Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Burke. Following church Mr. Burke took his parents out todinner. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Butler and family of McLean spent the week-end with Mr. Butler’s mother Mrs. Amos Butler.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Grigsby of Rock Mills spent the weekend with Mrs. Charlie Settle and Miss Edna Bayne. Other guests Sunday were Miss Myrtle Settle of Griffinsburg, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bayne and daughter, Mrs. Virginia Frazier, Mrs. Black and daughter, all of Culpeper. Mr. and Mrs C. B. Johnson and Mrs. Charlie Settle were in Winchester Monday on business.
