Report Two Collisions

On Holiday Weekend

Two vehicles collided Thursday on a narrow portion of Route 627 east of Washington without personal injury and minor property damage. Involved in the crash were Randal Updike of Washington operating a 66 Ford pick up and Mrs. Katherine Oettingen of Washington, D. C. and Wash, ington, Va. driving a 66 Ford Thunderbird. Damage was esti mated at $150 and $200 respectively, according to Trooper W. A. Buntin. No charges were made. Sunday afternoon a collision occurred on Route 729, two miles west of Viewtown. Bob Dean Browning of Washington, D. C. operating a 65 Chevrolet station wagon and Kenneth M. Lappin of Towson, Md, driving a 65 Volkswagon station wagon ran together on a sharp curve. Browning applied his brakes a skidded into th< Lamppin vehicle, according to Trooper Buntin. Stephen Lamppin sustained a laceration of the forehead. Damage was set at $550 to the Chevro let and $400 to theVW. Brown ing was charged with failing to keep his vehicle under control.
