a colleague ot mine wno nad had a larynx operation was an avid golfer. He also liked to sing in his gravelly way. Have you ever heard a rock crusher singing The Ballad of the Green Berets? Once he told me, in his inimitable way, of the pleasure he derived from playing golf. He said he didn’t play so much for a low score, he just thought the sphere, was so pretty rolling across the green. I asked if it didn’t roll just as prettily weekdays or after church services on Sunday. He said, "Si, when I'm home I go to church with my wife every Sunday, when I’m away I play golf. I said “AMEN!” Comforting thing—going to church with the family. Might boost the preacher’s morale to know he is competing favor ably with this popular game.
