Thistles Don’t Care
Where They Sprout
Thistle seeds don’t care where they sprout. Like other plants I'd guess they prefer living on deep fertile soil with an abundance of water. On the other hand, these conditions can be had just as readily on a small lot as they can on a 2000 acre beef cattle farm in full operation. Soooo don’t say -- I’m not farming so I’m not concerned about thistles. Don’t say -- Thistles are already here, you can’t get over all of Rappahannock with machinery so why bother to spray at all. Don’t say -- Oh, what a beautiful flower!
