The subject of the June meetings of Homemakers Clubs in Rappahannock County has been on protection for women in the home and on the highways. At each of the meetings in the various communities a State Policeman has been present to lecture on safety and protection.
Trooper W. A. Buntin spoke to members of the Flint Hill Club at their meeting Tuesday night. He pointed out that locks were made for use, and to use them. Avert a tempting situation by keeping cars and houses locked; put purchases! or personal items such as cameras, radios, etc. in the trunk of the car rather than on the seat; travel with a companion when possible; use travelers checks or carry money in different places, not all in a purse.
