Among those attending the dedication of the remodeled Orlean Methodist Church in Orlean Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Emory Russell and Terry, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Russell, Mr. and Mrs. Patterson Biggs, Mrs. J. G. Russell, III of Winchester. The new pulpit in the church was dedicated to the memory of the late John Garland, Russell, jr.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul L. Miller and Mr. and Mrs. Paul L. Miller, jr. were Wednesday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Wood at. Sunny Slope. Mr. and Mrs. Miller, jr. left Friday for Madison Heights after visiting in the Paul Miller home.
Mr. and Mrs. John S. Browning were Saturday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Wood in Sperryville.
Mr. and Mrs. Patterson Biggs entertained at a cook-out Saturday. TTieir guests were Mr. and Mrs. Emory Russell and Terry, Mrs. Thelma D. Russell and John Kemp of Arlington.
Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Pullen were Mr. and Mrs. James Pullen and daughter Denise, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hawkins and daughter Connie, all of Arlington and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lillard of Front Royal. Mr. and Mrs. Philip Irwin and Mrs. Irwin’s mother, Mrs. Ethla Jacobsen were Saturday evening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs, A. H. Keyser in Washington. Mrs. Jacobsen is leaving today to return to her home in Slagelse, Denmark after visiting the Irwins at Caledonia. Mr. and Mrs. T. Granville Eastham and son Tom of Fairfax were visitors Saturday and Sunday of Mrs. E. M. Eastham and Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Burford. Mrs. Phil Eastham and two sons of Hume were also Sunday callers. Billy and Nancy Pullen of Richmond are visiting their grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. William E. Pullen at East Hamlet. Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Pullen of Richmond were Sunday visitors of the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Pullen. Mrs. Pullen’s mother Mrs. Sarah Roughan of Front Royal was their week-end guest.
