NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC
The Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries at a piceting held in Richmond, Virginia, on June 21, 1068, ordered (he following proposed change in its regulations pursuant to Sections 29-125, i29-126 and 29-127 of the Code of Virginia. A public hearing for the purpose of adopting such changes will be held at Room 100, 7 North Second Street, Richmond, Virginia, at 9:00 a.m., July 5, 1968.
CHAPTER 1. In General
Adopt a new regulation to be numbered Rl-9 to read as follows:
Drilling, dredging and any other operation designed to recover or obtain shell, minerals or any otheT substance shall be unlawful on lands owned by or under the control of the Commonwealth of Virginia under Hack Bay, its tributaries and the North Landing River from the North Carolina line to North landing Bridge unless a permit is' first obtained from the Commission. Application for a permit under this regulation shall be made to the Commission in such form and substance ns the Commission may require. Under the authority of Code of Virginia S 62.1-5 the Commission shall grant or refuse such permits ns conditions may require in order to prevent practices and operations which would harm the area for tish and wildlife.
