Selective Service
Records Are Public
Each local board maintains a Classification Record which contains the name, selective service number, and the current and past classifications physical examination date, induction date for each person registered with that board. This record is open to inspection by the public.
************ Copies of the Military Selective Service Act of 1967, the Selective Service Regulations and Memoranda are offered for sale and may be purchased from the Superintendent of Documents, Government Printing Office, Washington, D. C.

Addresses of State and National Headquarters are obtainable at any local board office.
************ The names of board members, government appeal agents and advisors will be posted on bulletin board in each local board office.

All Selective Service business is to be transacted through the Local Board office. If you are outside the area of your Local Board, go to the nearest office for Information and assistance.

Assistance is available for registration, filling out forms, transfers for physical examination and transfer for induction at your nearest local board. These are listed in phone books under “U S Government”.
