Miss Bonnie Jean North became the bride of Milton Clay Gore, jr. on Saturday, June 29, 1968 at four o’clock in the afternoon at Willis Chapel Methodist Church, Huntly, Virginia. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey J. North, sr. of Huntly, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton C. Gore, sr. of Alexandria, Virginia.
The double-ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. C. Edward Pruitt, pastor of the church, before a background altar of palms, candelabra and arrangements of white gladioli and pompons.
Nuptial music was presented by Mrs. Paul Miller of Flint Hill.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a street-length dress of white lace over satin J with long lace sleeves. Her shoulder-length veil fell from a crown of seed pearls. She carried a white Bible topped with a white orchid.
Mrs. Richard Burke of Huntly, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Her street-length gown was of pi^k~ lace ovef siyc and she wore a matching headpiece. She carried a bouquet of white pompons edged with pink.
William Bennett Bell III of Front Royal served as best man.
