Rappahannock 4-H
At Summer Camp
Along with 117 Madison and Greene County 4-H’ers, Rappahannock 4-H’ers participated in the activities of 4 H camp at Holiday Lake last week. i Despite high temperatures and the swelling humidity, the spirits I of the campers were not I dampened as they attended .classes on photography, recreation, rifle and archery I instruction, canoeing, electricity • and handicrafts. All campers were i divided into tribal groups and the I afternoon was given over to tribal , pow wows, athletic competition , and swimming.
Leadership for the week was . provided by older 4-H Club members. Amy Palmer, Brenda , Print/, and C. G. Thornhill served ,ias leaders for the Cherokee, Sioux and Blackfoot tribes respectively . As a result of her outstanding , work in leadership, Carter Moffett was chosen to serve as , the Assistant Recreation leader I for the week.
