Carol Wallen, both of Knoxville.
Their gowns were apricot silk organza styled with fitted bodice and full floor-length skirts. The round collar and puffed sleeves were trimmed with white daisies with apricot centers. They wore modified picture hats trimmed with daisies and carried one white and one apricot long stemmed rose.
Junior bridesmaids were Miss Drucilla Graves Davis, sister of the bridegroom, Miss Melynda Truett of Knoxville and Miss Kathy Griffin of Smyrna, Tennessee, both cousins of the bride.
Their gowns were lime green silk organza fashioned like those of the other attendants. TTiey wore matching hats and also carried white and apricot roses.
Mr. Davis acted as best man for his son and ushers were Lt. Rayner V. Snead, Jr. of Ft. Bragg, N. C., Reverdy H. Jones III of Fairmont, West Virginia, Nicholas Slater of Richmond, Harvey Templeton III of Nashville and Robert A. Griffin of Smyrna, cousin of the bride.
Mrs. Truett wore a dress of pink Chantilly lace with a bertha collar and matching hat and shoes. Her flowers were white gardenias.
For her son’s wedding, Mrs. Davis chose a blue crepe sheath with a matching overblouse of guipure lace. Her hat was an ostrich feather whimsy and she had blue shoes and white accessories, and a gardenia corsage.
