Smith at Spring House Farm. Mrs. Harry Lee Smith and Mrs. Lee Smith were weekend guests of Mrs. J. A. Haynes in Alexandria and were joined there by Mrs. R. V. Snead, Jr. of Fort Bragg, N.C. Mr. and Mrs. Field Benton and son Hugh were guests from Thursday until Tuesday of Mrs. Benton’s brother-in-law and aster Judge and Mrs. B. M. Miller. They left Tuesday to spend a few days at Ocracoke, N. C. before returning to their home at Middles boro, Ky. Mr. and Mrs. Charles C. Burke were guests from Wednesday until Friday of their son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Ashton Burke in Warrenton. Weekend guests of the Burkes at their home on Blue Ridge Avenue were Mr. and Mrs. William Hershey of Bristol, Pa. Their Sunday dinner guests were Mr. and Mrs. Horace Partlow and two children of Hagerstown, Md. and Henry Gore of Fredericksburg. Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Updike, Jr. and son Brian of Falls Church and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Parker and two children of Culpeper were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Updike.
Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Federline of Arlington were Saturday luncheon guests of Judge and Mrs. B. M. Miller ’Mrs. T. C. Lea, Jr. and son Cal joined Judge Lea at Camp Rock Enon Thursday for dinner. It was Cal’s 7th birthday. Page and Cal Lea spent the day Friday with Scott and Joe Keyser at the home of their grandmother Mrs. Henry M. Keyser.
