Mrs. Stanley Williams

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Henry of Sparrows Point, Md. and Miss Marie Henry of Front Royal visited friends in this community last Thursday night.

Janet Fox, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Fox of Route 522, received some injuries last Thursday night when she got off a Mosby school bus and stepped into the path of a Tire truck from Strasburg. She was taken to Warren Memorial Hospital by the Chester Gap Rescue Squad ambulance, where she was treated for a cut over the right eye and lacerations of the left knee and was released.

Mrs. Helen Greeley and granddaughter Gail, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Slack and Mrs. Eileen Davis of Front Royal were Sunday visitors of Mrs. Garfield Williams. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. Ermand Morris. Others visiting in the Morris home during the weekend included Mr. and Mrs. Ted Brooks and 2 children of Manassas, Mrs. Frankie Knight of Waldorf, Md. and Mrs. Cleve Kenny of Front Royal.

Mrs. LeMerle Williams visited her son Jerry in Halifax on Sunday.

Mrs. Ann Frazier was the guest of honor at a dinner for her 70th birthday Sunday in the home of her daughter Mrs. Benny Atkins. Others present besides the Atkins family were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Frazier and two children of Front Royal and Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Heflin of Orleans.

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Leake and daughter Terry of Culpeper and Patty Williams of Chester Gap spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Bradley Williams. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Williams, daughter Donna and Rhonda Williams visited them on Sunday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Emmett White, daughter Peggy and their two grandchildren of Front Royal, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Smelser and family of Browntown were visitors Sunday night of Mr. and Mrs. Hubie Gilkey.

Six of the seven children of Mrs. Myrtle N. Chastain of Blue Ridge Mountain Estates honored her by attending a family reunion on July 20 at “The Lodge,” summer home of Mr. and Mrs. Philip F. Moore on Nez Perse Way. They were Mrs. Bessie M. Parks and Mrs. Shirley M. C. Shelton of Alexandria, Clarence R. Cheney of Corpus Christi, Texas, Leroy A. Cheney of Mill Valley, California, Howard P. Cheney of Baldwin City, Kansas and Mrs. Grace R. Moore of suburban Philadelphia. Unable to attend was her youngest son Edward G. Chastain of Pomona,
