l’s Parade Tonight
Continues thru Sat.
Attention in Amissville is focused on the annual Firemen’s Parade scheduled for tonight, Thursday, August 22 beginning at 6:30 p.m. The carnival opened last night and will continue through Saturday.
The big parade will feature fire and rescue squad equipment, majoijettes, beauty queens, floats, music, and much more. A box supper will be available on the carnival grounds following the parade and hotdogs, hamburgers, drinks, pie and cake will be sold each night.
The midway will offer rides and i there will be games, fun and I amusement for all ages.
Climaxing the carnival activities will be the awarding of prizes [Saturday night with the grand j prize a 1968 American Rambler. Second prize is a portable television and there will be four prizes of $25 Savings Bonds.
A queen will be chosen Friday night from among six contestants. There is still time to vote for the one of your choice. A stereo will lx- given away Saturday night in connection with the queen contest.
